So, I'm leaving tomorrow (Monday), to head up to Provo. I enter the MTC on Wednesday, August 25, 2010. I will be serving in the Ohio Columbus Mission for two years. It's gonna be awesome. Although I am nervous, I am excited for the amazing experiences I will have and the wonderful life that I will continue to live. Goodbye everyone, keep in touch if you desire. I love you all.

Only sitting a few inches away from me is my mission call. It's quite painful, to say the least, to not know where I'm going and it being so close to me. As I was preparing to go on a mission, I finally realized that I did not care where I ended up going. I only wanted to serve. It does not matter where I serve because the mission is not about me going somewhere I want. A mission is about the people. It is about bringing as many people as possible into the gospel and allowing them the same opportunity as the rest of us to receive exaltation. That is why I want to go on a mission.

I miss my family, my home (especially my bed) and the Arizona heat. It has been cold up here, snowing for the whole day sometimes. I look forward to going home in a few months. Good times. I do not regret coming to college, but I still miss being a little kid and not having all the worries I do now. It is all a part of life and though it may be difficult at some points, it is all worth it.

Ahh, college life. Little sleep, lots of stress and unbelievably crazy times. College has been a very interesting experience for me. I have enjoyed it much though. The work itself is more difficult, but I have a heck of a lot more time. I cannot believe that I am getting close to a third of the way through the semester already. In case you have not heard, I got accepted to BYU (Provo, sorry to Aunt Luana) and will be attending the winter semester this coming January. Am I the only one a little freaked out by that? It is crazy how fast I have grown up in just these past few months already. And for some reason I have quite enjoyed my senior year of school. Some days I actually look forward to going. Its something I never thought I would hear myself say. Well, that is my update for the week or month or until I decide to post again.

Yes, I know it has been a very very very long time since I last posted. I had not really felt the need to post anything, but seeing as how today is my birthday, I decided to go ahead and do it anyway. Currently I am working on my application for BYU. This is my last semester at high school and then I leave for college in January. I am not a little kid anymore, I am almost an adult. Is that right? So far, my senior year at high school has been very enjoyable. None of my classes are really hard. Economics seems to be one of my favorite classes right now. I got a new suit for my birthday which I am pretty excited to be able to wear eventually. So that is my life. Are you updated enough everyone?

I feel like expressing a more poetic side of mine own self this evening. Being who I am, I always wonder if I am important. Of course, there are those people on this earth who are important- like Jesus Christ and Joseph Smith- but do I make a difference? To someone, I hope I can, and I guess that is what counts. I have some purpose here on this earth, may be something big, may be something small. I guess it does not really matter. What matters is that I am here, and I do what I can. I have learned much in my youth- from parents and church and just being on this earth. Now all I have to do is figure out what I am supposed to do with all of that. Do I take all that and try to become someone important, or do I just go through life like an ordinary person. I am sure that many people feel that they have a special purpose in life. I being one of them. But I suppose that I do not need to have a special purpose in life, or be someone important in order for me to be happy. I need no more than what I have now. To me, that is the most important.

Oh, and for thos that wanted to know what prom was like... it was good and made me happy- which you know is most important. Live life to the fullest and love everything because if you don't, well then you can never learn to know true happiness.

So yeah, I only have like 24 days of school, or something like that, left. The ACT sucks too. I had to take that on Wednesday, but at least it was free. I am pretty pumped for the summer, even though it is already 100 degrees outside. Oh, and pie rules.

Two great and wonderful things have happened. The most important, as Adam has already informed most, my little niece was born on Wednesday. Her name is Elsie and she is a beautiful baby. I have not had the privilege to see her in person yet, but I get to go visit her this week because it is, SPRING BREAK. That is the other, less important thing. It has truly been a blessing to be an uncle, and I long for that time where I get to be a father myself. Life is just so full of so many wonderful things, and I get to be in the middle of all of it.

Yeah, it has been a while, but I feel that this blog of mine is of little importance to anyone else, including myself. For some reason though, I felt that I had to write a new post, so to everyone that for some reason does read my blog, here you go.

I have school really easy, especially when you put my classes up against those people that get 5.4 GPA s because of AP classes. Oh well, I do not care enough to get a 5.4; I do have a 4.0 if that counts for anything. So my schedule is as follows, American Literature, Seminary, American History, Anatomy, Trigonometry, Culinary Arts and Ceramics.

As of a few weeks ago, I have been making pots like crazy in ceramics. It might just be possible for me to make a pot for a certain few who love me the most. Or is that not an incentive enough because my art is not as "cool" as those so called professionals?

For the first time, or maybe second time, I had sushi. I have to admit, it was quite delectable. I had one that had crab, cream cheese, cucumbers and carrots in it, one with just crab and cream cheese in it and also one that just had vegetables (and possibly cream cheese again) in it-avocados, cucumbers and carrots.

Personal progress
Subject matter: Physical and Spiritual

Physical- It is time to diet and get fit. Actually I would not really call it a diet, it is more like eating healthy, which could be called a diet for me because of my lack of healthy food and my excess of junk food. Then you throw a bit of exercise in there- cardio and weight lifting. I already feel better, and look you know, good.

Spiritual- Our Stake Presidency has counseled us to Plead Read Act and Record. It sounds pretty easy and it was except for the Record part. Since last week was Missionary Week in Seminary, we got bonus points if we wrote in our journal. I have now written in my journal every night since then. It is difficult sometimes, especially when I have nothing to say, but I know that I was asked to do it for a reason. I know that if you do write in a journal daily, it will get easier and if you write down spiritual experiences you have, it will be easier for you to recognize the spirit in your life.

So I hope that was good enough for those few who read my blog. I have absolutely no idea as to when I will write again. I may or may not even, but I hope that what I have written will mean something to someone, and even if it does not, I can live with that.

Whoot Whoot! Christmas is just around the corner. This year has gone by very fast. And no more school until January 5. Now I have two semesters of school left before I go to college. That also means I only have two more Christmas Days to enjoy before my mission. Wow, I'm getting pretty old. Well, maybe I shouldn't complain because I'm not as old as some other people. Three more semesters and I'm done with high school. This year has been the toughest so far. Classes like Shakespeare are especially tough. I have to give a twenty line dramatic reading of a Shakespeare play which I am not exactly excited to do, but it's ten percent of my grade. All my other classes are OK. Jewelry is my favorite though. I get to make rings and key chains and all sorts of stuff. I hope that will help me get through the school year and if it doesn't, oh well.

I just had my first week of school. I didn't like it so much. I wish it was still summer, but then I wouldn't get to celebrate my birthday on Friday. The classes I'm taking this year are harder than the ones I took last year. It's time to work hard and not procrastinate anymore. Other than school, things are ok. I just passed my Eagle Scout Board of Review, so I'm officially an Eagle Scout. Yayyy!! I can tell that this is going to be a long, hot, school year. But there's nothing I can do about it.

I realize it has been a while since I last posted something, but I've been kinda busy. I'm trying to finish up my Eagle stuff and I got back from my 37 day vacation two weeks ago. It was pretty fun, but I was glad to be back at home. Today I gave a talk in church. Apparently, it was good, but I spoke "a little too fast." Oh well, I can't be perfect. I start school two weeks from tomorrow, which I am not exactly excited for. I wish I had more time to enjoy the summer. ( But not the heat!)

I come to the end of my trip, even though it is not exactly the end. I still have a little less than two weeks before I head home. I grow excited to be able to sleep on my own bed. A few weeks ago, I found out that when I get back from my trip, I would have to give a talk in church. This was fine with me because I have not given one in my own ward for a while. However, I have given one in stake conference so compared to that, it should be a piece of cake. I have enjoyed my time on vacation to spend time with different family members that I don't get to see all that often. I really do love all of my family (relatives included).

I'm glad that I have been able to be on vacation these last two weeks, but now that I think about being gone another three weeks, I get a little homesick. I miss my dear bed very much, along with my pillow and blanket. A random set of red dots, I say dots because I don't think they're pimples or anything, has appeared on the left side of my face. On the bright side, I get to go see The Incredible Hulk which I am pretty excited to go see. I guess I will get back to all of you when my time is up.

five weeks of summer vacation

Starting today, I will be gone for five and a half weeks. First stop California. I get to visit my grandparents, go to Disneyland and stay with Beth for a while too. Next stop is Utah where I get to stay with my aunt and go to EFY with my cousin. Three weeks spent in California and about two in Utah. This summer sure will be busy. I'm gonna miss my bed too. There's nothing like sleeping in your own bed, unless your own bed isn't that great, but I think mine is. California, here I come!

sweet books and a buzzed head

When I went to church today, no one even noticed my hair. I guess that's because I've never really let it grow out. The story is, I was tired of fixing my beautiful, dark hair; and it was so hot too. Friday, the day after school was out, Adam buzzed it off.

Along with my new hairstyle, I just finished another book in my favorite series. I started reading the Pendragon series in 4th or 5th grade; something like that. Now I'm waiting for the final book, #10, to come out. Because of how this book ended, I don't think I can wait another year for the next one to come out. These are honestly the best books I have ever read.

Only one more final and school is done for me. This summer is going to be so exciting. Disneyland, EFY and family reunions. As a bonus, I finally got the ninth book in the Pendragon series. Now that I got my cast off, I get to go to the gym and get pumped again. I have begun to run in the mornings and also two miles at the gym. Since I had my cast on I gained 10 pounds. I have gotten a little softer in the middle, but soon I will have abs of steel. In a few days I will be in awesome shape and maybe I will show some pics of my huge biceps.

The cast has finally come off and I am so happy. However, there is almost no muscle in my right hand. My thumb looks very skinny and it was creepy after the lady took my cast off. But now I can shower without having to cover my hand with a stupid plastic bag. I am still to do no sports for another month, but I am fine with that. Today is a good day.

spring break

Spring break is finally here and I am so excited! Mom bought these new clothes for me as a gift for my last quarter. Two nights ago, we went to Buca di Beppo as a celebration for the end of the third quarter. I got all A's except for an 89.8 in Chemistry. I'm a little upset about that, but I could care less now because tomorrow we head off to California. I only have a little more than a week until I get my cast off, so that's another bonus. This year is already flying.

Mom has been sick for about two weeks. Now she has pneumonia. I don't know what to do in order for her to get better. School takes up a ton of time, and having a pretty much useless right hand doesn't help with being able to help her. I tried, now I guess we just have to wait and see what Heavenly Father does.

I then decided to top it off with whip cream, sprinkles, and on the last one, some strawberry on top.

Sunday is such a nice and relaxing day. We get to go to church and spend time together as a family. I used to not like Sundays; but now, they are pretty close to being my favorite day of the week. We can just relax at home and not worry about the things of the world. You can really feel the spirit as you go to church, partake of the sacrament and only worry about what you need to do together as a family. Sunday is a break away from the rest of the week. It is so we can worship our Heavenly Father and His son Jesus Christ. I can't wait till we can finally return to Him and have days like this, everyday.

Yesterday I got this cast put onto my thumb. I found out that I will have it on for 6 weeks, and I cannot play lacrosse for 3 months. This means the season will be over and I was only able to play 1 game. The doctor said I disrupted the ligament in my thumb and it then pulled off part of my bone. I was lucky because normally they do surgery for this. I am not exactly enjoying this right now, and I am very sad that my parents have to pay so much for me.

I was finally injured after playing lacrosse. I don't know if you can tell, but my right thumb is about twice the size of my left thumb. So I am not able to play any sports right now because my thumb might be broken, but we have to have a radiologist look at it first. It is painful, but the doctor prescribed some pain killers which are great. I am probably going to go back to school tomorrow and it is quite difficult for me to write so I'm not sure what I will do. Oh well.

I do not have practice today so I decided to do a quick post. My first lacrosse scrimmage was on Thursday and it was pretty fun. Both of my knees are sore and my right ankle is aching, so it's taking its toll on me. I have been doing pretty well in school. I have all A's right now. We also just signed up for our classes next year and as electives I am taking Shakespeare, Seminary, Ceramics, Jewelry and Culinary Arts . Life is pretty good right now and my wonderful family makes it even better.

I have been very busy since the new year has started. I have lacrosse and school almost everyday. Sorry I have not posted a while for those few readers. After I get the hang of things and I'm not so busy, I will try to post a little more often. Lacrosse has been hard, but I think I'm getting the hang of it. School is the same as it always is; boring. But recently I have noticed, that on Sundays, I am always excited to go to church. It has been helping me to feel happier and have a better perspective of everything around me. I'm done for now until that angry mob starts to act up again.

I'm always a little depressed after Christmas is over. I'm sorry I have not posted in like a month. I have been quite busy with family coming to visit. I also thought I should let everyone else know that I am now playing lacrosse which is difficult for me now but I am sure that I will soon get the hang of it. I was also glad to find out that I received an A in CP Chemistry both for the semester and on my final. I was quite ecstatic when I received this information. Well I haven't posted in a while, but since it's Sunday I decided to write something. The Christmas count down has finally begun. I'm so excited it is finally December. After Thanksgiving we decided to start putting up our decorations. We have both of our Christmas trees up now and the lights hung up on the outside of our house. We were fortunate to have Adam here with us to "help" us with hanging the lights. I love the feeling of Christmas time and can't wait till' those last 23 days until Christmas.

I just recently (as in a couple minutes ago) finished reading New Moon by Stephanie Meyer. Just because I'm a guy does not mean I cannot enjoy a good book about the love of two teenagers. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. If you have not already engaged in the reading of the Twilight books, I would encourage you to do so, man or woman. And in case you are wondering, no I did not cry while reading this story.

Today is the wonderful day that Beth was born on. Another year older and still lookin' pretty fine, especially on that awesome Geo Prism. We're all glad Beth is still around so we can enjoy our lives with her there right beside us, or in front or behind and so forth. She has always been a great inspiration to me. Ever since Heroes has begun, my dad and I have watched almost every single episode. My mom, sadly, has not. She thinks there are too many stories going at once. I love to watch the office every Thursday night which I sadly get to watch by myself. I really didn't start to watch it that much until I spent a week with Beth and we watched the office several hours a day online. Beth's favorite part is of course the Pam and Jim scene of the season finale in the second season(I think that's what season it is). No matter how many times though I see an episode of the Office, it gets me laughing every time. Here is one of the things that cracks me up about the office.

At first, when Beth started blogging, I didn't think much about it. Then Adam started doing it so then I knew I should probably do something too. I don't think mine will really be that great.
